Giving an ambience to the sport -
Gestüt Peterhof impresses with its design, which has been thought through down to the smallest detail.
The horses' basic needs for light, air and movement were the guiding principles when planning the Peterhof stud farm, nestling gently on a hillside in the Moselle valley near Perl. Baroque symmetry merges here with southern flair. Viewed from above, the almost 20-hectare complex reveals a clear alignment along a north-south axis. The building ensembles, which are opulent in terms of the ceiling height alone and yet appear filigree in warm Mediterranean tones, take away the austerity of the arrangement.

When it comes to winter, stable and pasture rugs, sweat rugs, saddle blankets and boot and travel bags, Arlette Jasper-Kohl places great value on high-quality materials, elaborate workmanship, attractive design and innovative cuts. The Peterhof Collection, initially only intended for the company's own horses, went into series production in 2013 at the request of numerous horse lovers.

In her carpet designs, which are handwoven by experienced weavers in a workshop in Kathmandu (Nepal), Arlette Jasper-Kohl quotes traditional patterns and turns them into paintings that can be walked on. Her well-founded knowledge of high-quality manufacturing techniques and her keen sense for sometimes unusual raw materials or material combinations are unmistakable.
